Delete your data
You can have everything we hold about you erased. This page is our published data-deletion instruction, including for the purposes of Meta Platforms' developer requirements, and may be cited as e-guruji.com/data-deletion.
Two ways to ask
- On WhatsApp. From the number registered with us, send the message delete my data. We reply asking you to confirm, and the deletion begins once you confirm.
- By email. Write to advocateproind@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request", giving the WhatsApp number on the account. We will send a confirmation message to that number before deleting, so that nobody can delete your account but you.
What is deleted
- Your account, name, number and preferences
- Your birth details, chart, star and dasha calculations
- Family members you added, and their details
- Your conversation history with e-Guru, including voice notes
- Your location and city
- Any delivery address
What we must keep, and for how long
Indian tax and company law require us to keep records of payments and the invoices and receipts for them for 8 years. These records hold the booking, the amount, the date and the payment reference. They are kept only for that purpose, are not used for anything else, and are destroyed when the period ends. Aggregate counts that cannot identify you (for example, the number of archanas performed) are kept.
How long it takes
A confirmed request is completed within 30 days, usually within 7. We send a final message on WhatsApp to say it is done, after which we no longer have your number. Data held by our processors (listed in the privacy policy) is deleted on the same instruction.
Deleting one thing, not everything
If you only want to remove a family member, erase the conversation history, or stop the daily guide without deleting the account, say so on WhatsApp and we will do just that.
If you are a family member added by someone else
If another person added your details to their e-Guruji account and you want them removed, write to advocateproind@gmail.com with your name and star as they would have been entered, and the number of the account holder if you know it. We will remove your details and inform the account holder.
